An "hommage" to the Swiss Watchmaking industry
Ten minutes past ten, described as the moment when the hands of a watch are beautifully balanced on a watch face. This adventurous fountain pen created by Caran d’Ache has been made as a show of respect to the Swiss Watch making industry. The bridges that support a watch’s gear train have inspired the design of the pen barrel, which has been based on two superimposed cages. Made from rhodium-coated silver or 18 carat gold, each fountain pen is hand made. It takes six months just to make one pen. Only 10 solid gold pens and 500 silver pens have been made. This fountain pen is truly a masterpiece and will be sought after by serious pen collectors world-wide.
