Capturing the imagination of an era - Ecridor Type 55
The appeal of retro blended with a passion for cars, specifically the 1967 Mustang, which has been used as inspiration for the latest collection of writing instruments from Caran d’Ache. The newest addition to the Ecridor range has continued to use the hexagonal shape and slender lines synonymous with the other writing instruments in the Ecridor collection. The Type 55 is enhanced by the brilliance of its silver-plated, rhodium-coated body, which has been etched, with a design inspired by the distinctive air intakes of the 1967 Mustang. The etched design is created with interlocking “5’s” giving the collection it’s name “Type 55”.

The fountain pen has an 18ct gold nib, whist the ballpoint and mechanical pencil has a push button mechanism. Each writing instrument has a retro clip. This pen range is accompanied by matching black leather accessories which have been inscribed with the Type 55 design as seen on the writing instruments making these an ideal gift for Christmas.
